    Dominic’s focus is on high-level strategic initiatives with entrepreneurial-spirited companies. Dominic has worked in Toronto as a graphic designer for more than 20 years. He oversees creative work for clients such as the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, Barrymore Furniture, Timbercreek Asset Management and Quadrangle Architects. Currently on faculty at OCAD University, Dom is an enthusiastic mentor to new designers and is well known within the design community for his expertise in typography, digital platforms and design trends.

He has been involved in all facets of design including logotypes, websites, magazines, brand collateral, reports and packaging. Gord’s ability to logically and systematically deal with complexity, his ease with spreadsheets, and his exceptional organizational skills have been invaluable to our team.

    Bob’s curious mind and knack for personal service set the tone for the team at Flywheel Strategic. Bob ensures all projects are developed and executed with a strategic eye, fresh perspective and meticulous craftsmanship. Bob also directs all brand development projects for Flywheel, working with clients such as Quadrangle Architects. He is a sought-after lecturer and speaker – recent engagements include delivering the keynote addresses at the SUNYCUAD Conference in Rochester, New York and at the University and College Designers Association (UCDA) in Phoenix, Arizona. Bob is Vice-President of Communications for the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) and is also on their Board of Directors.

  • Senior UX/UI Designer

    Flywheel Strategic brings integrated expertise in design, technology and content to raise our client’s sales and marketing platforms to a higher sphere. We are seeking a UX/UI Designer who has a passion for quality and enjoys an entrepreneurial environment. Successful candidates will have experience helping clients understand the impact of design on both user experiences and business outcomes as well as a portfolio of work that demonstrates design and storytelling skills that adapt to different client circumstances. In addition, a successful candidate will be a great listener, a quick learner, be self-motivated, and have strong time management skills in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  

    Role 

    This is a project-based role where designers work with clients from a variety of industries and disciplines, each delivering meaningful value to their respective customers, communities, and the world.  

    The UX/UI Designer works within a highly skilled team of designers, developers, system architects, strategists, and content developers each with a specialized area of expertise. The UX/UI Designer plays an integral role in creating and explaining the benefits of digital experiences that connects clients with their audiences and builds momentum for their businesses.  

    Required Experience: 

    • Excellent oral, written, and diagrammatic communication skills 

    • Proven creative thinking and effective client-facing presentations  

    • Strong understanding of design thinking and user centered design 

    • Optimizing design to deliver user experience and organizational benefits 

    • Analysis and synthesis of research findings into design approaches  

    • Utilization of research methodologies to understand users / audiences  

    • Mastery of Adobe Creative suite and at least one prototyping tool (e.g. Axure) 

    Additional Experience an asset: 

    • Illustration  

    • Animation  

    • First-hand experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript

  • Digital Marketing Coordinator

    Flywheel Strategic brings integrated expertise in design, technology and content to raise our client’s sales and marketing platforms to a higher sphere. We are seeking a part-time Digital Marketing Coordinator to assist in creating content for web and social as well as facilitate the management of client relations, social platforms, digital campaigns and web properties for Flywheel Strategic. 

    Role 

    This is a part-time role (approximately 20-25 hour per week). The Digital Marketing Candidate will play an integral role in creating actionable content, compelling social media campaigns and implementing digital advertising strategies for clients across multiple industries. 

    Required Experience

    Content Strategy and Development 
    Social Platform Management 
    AdWords and Analytics Experience 
    SEO Strategy and Copywriting 

    Required Skills

    • Basic knowledge of digital marketing
    • Creating blogs, social posts, web content, white papers, email content, etc.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
      A marketing/research/event coordination background; through work, school, or both.
    • Interest in/commitment to the digital marketing and/or communications
    • Interest in content management, client management and strategic thinking
    • High proficiency and interest in social media; strong familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • Ability to develop outreach strategies to connect with target audiences
    • Able to work independently and take initiative while also being an effective team player
    • Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Proven attention to detail

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinating with managers or clients on projects and deliverables
    • Updating daily client reports and stakeholder calendars
    • Provide support for traditional, event, digital and social media marketing
    • Assist with preparing frequent reports using Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics and AdWords
    • Collect and compile stats for omni-platform campaign reporting, along with other internal requests
    • Proofread marketing assets to ensure accuracy and alignment to brief
