As their trusted Salesforce advisor, RMS contacted us with a unique challenge – take the existing, somewhat-antiquated software system of a renowned blue-chip client and optimize it through improved communication channels and a sophisticated software integration to ensure seamless digitization and automation across the entire employee lifecycle. Recognizing the importance of getting it right – after all – we’re dealing with documentation pertaining to employee benefits, claims, health and wellness – we met with all parties involved to understand and audit current processes and identify opportunities. Working within the constraints of an existing manual tracking system, while integrating it with a more sophisticated automated communication tool with no margin for error meant working not only with RMS to build the system, but also working closely with their client’s corporate IT and HR departments to educate them, identify gaps in their systems and fully understand the limitations of their existing platform.

In the planning phase of the partnership, we deconstructed the life cycle of a typical employee and the various data points that needed to speak with each other, in order to have a solid, seamless claims case management chain. We knew converting from manual entry, with its common risks of duplication and user-error were the keys to not only improving overall functionality of their system but also enhance their CRM capabilities and deliver valuable metrics for future growth and successful operations.

We did! The key to this partnership from the outset was trust. RMS knows their strengths, and lucky for us, they know ours too. They excelled at disability case management and claims processes, but don’t pretend to be technological whizzes – their complete trust in Flywheel and our willingness to take the time to get to know their client’s needs brought the two companies’ shared vision to life flawlessly. Leveraging our Salesforce expertise and the use of the Talend platform which combines data integration, data quality, and data governance in a single solution, we optimized RMS’ client’s existing system and reengineered it to create a complex automated system to streamline and house all critical and confidential employee data, from compensation, claim types and leave records/usage, to return-to-work, status updates, PPE requirements, and administrative functionalities, such as reinstating key card access upon returning to work. And we didn’t jump ship once their new system was live. To maximize the value of their new integration and ensure comfort in adapting to the transition, we provided hands-on support and training for all parties involved, identifying any gaps or issues along the way and working quickly as a team to fix them.
