Women of Influence (WOI) is devoted to helping successful women from all walks change the narrative and get the story out on just what women can achieve. When the organization realized their website was no longer serving their purposes, nor attracting the traffic they wanted, they turned to Flywheel for help making women’s voices heard.
“It was fantastic advice and we took it.”
That’s what WOI said after we advised them to begin by focusing on their brand strategy. Our initial information gathering made clear to us that a prior examination of their mission, values and offering was necessary before reinventing their online platform. “It definitely changed what we ended up doing” WOI told us.
Flexibility was key.
To gain trust, we needed a plan with the flexibility to address their budgetary concerns. That meant distinguishing project elements that we should handle on our own from those that with a little guidance we could hand off them. We like to think that clients consider us as part of their team. But WOI told us they felt so empowered that they considered themselves part of ours!
The initial ask was for a website facelift.
But the project turned into a broader, strategically informed exercise yielding a completely new platform, clearer in its messaging and more potent in its functionality now and for the future. It not only articulates WOI’s purposes more effectively but transforms management of everything from event listings to membership programs, award applications and e-commerce campaigns.
It’s simply a better platform for ensuring women’s stories are heard.
Within a month of launching WOI broke records with a 20% increase in page views. So much easier to look at and navigate, the website made it easier for their community to reach out to them. “Everyone was overwhelmingly positive in their response.” People began telling them they are the leaders in the space; sponsors stepped forward with support that made the website pay for itself in a matter of weeks. The website revamp, they told us, “was one of the best decisions we’ve made.”
